Contact | Taking the First Step

You don’t need to know exactly what to say

Reaching out to a therapist can feel like a surprisingly big step.

You may have been thinking about getting some support for a while. Perhaps part of you knows something needs to change, while another part wonders whether your difficulties are really “bad enough” for therapy.

You don’t have to wait until things become unbearable.

And you don’t need to have worked out exactly what is wrong before contacting me.

You can simply start with what is happening now.

Our first conversation

Our first conversation gives us an opportunity to meet and explore what has brought you to therapy.

You can tell me as much or as little as feels comfortable.

I’ll ask some questions to help me understand what has been happening and what you would like to be different. You can also ask me questions about how I work.

Most importantly, it gives us both an opportunity to consider:

Does working together feel right?

There is no expectation that you have to continue simply because you have made contact.

What happens next?

Simply complete the contact form below with your name, contact details and a few words about what has brought you here.

You don’t need to tell me your whole story in the form.

Something as simple as:

“I’ve been feeling increasingly anxious and I’d like some help.”

is enough.

I will then get back to you so that we can arrange the next step.

Ready to begin?

Sometimes the first change is simply deciding that you no longer have to work everything out on your own.

If you feel I might be the right person to help, I’d be very happy to hear from you.
